HCG P2 Friendly Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Meatballs:

1 pound ground beef
2 large cloves of garlic minced
1 tbsp wheat germ
1 piece of Ezekiel bread made into bread crumbs use blender
1/4 C onion diced
1 egg
1 tbsp minced fresh ginger
1 tsp salt

Combine ingredients in medium bowl, mix thoroughly and shape into golf size balls.  Brown in medium pan when browned on all sides add to sauce in separate pan.

Sauce:

1/3 C distilled white vinegar
3/4 C water
1/3 C ketchup unsweetened
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp raw agave (unprocessed) optional
1 Tbsp grated fresh ginger
1 clove minced garlic



Combine ingredients in pan over medium heat add meatballs and cook approximately 10-15 minutes turning occassionally and spoon sauce over meatballs to coat.
